King’s Health Partners brings together research, education and clinical practice across three NHS Foundation Trusts - Guy’s and St Thomas’, King’s College Hospital, and South London and Maudsley - and a world-leading university, King’s College London.

We improve health and care services by translating early scientific research, discoveries, and ideas to benefit patients and our communities. We train and develop future generations of healthcare professionals.  

In 2020, King’s Health Partners was re-designated as an Academic Health Sciences Centre (AHSC) for five years and the partnership launched an 2020-2025 plan ‘Delivering better health for all through high impact innovation' (PDF).

We are building on this five-year strategy by accelerating progress in three areas:

Interwoven through these priorities is a mind and body approach - integrating mental and physical health across everything we do, as well as addressing the inequalities in health outcomes experienced by people with mental illness.  

We are committed to focusing our energy in these areas - driving change through clinical academic collaboration and improving health outcomes through sustainable system partnerships. A core team coordinates and supports activity, working closely with colleagues in partner organisations to drive delivery of a shared mission.

Our founding partners
