Prof Lucilla Poston CBE is a leading expert in maternal and fetal health, focusing on maternal obesity, gestational diabetes, and their long-term effects on mother and child. She researches maternal-child cohorts, pregnancy interventions, and early-life disease origins using health data linkages. She is President of the International Society for Developmental Origins of Health and Disease, an Honorary Fellow of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, and a Fellow of the Academy of Medical Sciences.
