The fifth King’s Health Partners Primary Care Webinar of 2024 is titled 'Traditional medicine has failed people with chronic pain; PEACS a new approach'.

Pain: Equality of Care and Support in the Community (PEACS)

PEACS is a pathway that aims to support patients living with chronic pain, using a lifestyle medicine approach. PEACS has a particular focus on supporting patients from black backgrounds because the prevalence of chronic pain in the black community in Lambeth is significantly higher, especially among black women. This webinar explores how a pain service can be co-designed with local communities to address health inequalities and improve patient experience/quality of life and health outcomes.

The webinar will be chaired by Dr Rachna Chowla, Joint Director of Clinical Strategy, King's Health Partners.

Confirmed speakers:

  • Misha Gardner, Project Manager, Mind & Body Programme
  • Dr Sarfraz Jeraj, Clinical Psychologist
