Education and Training for all – do you have an idea for our Learning Hub?

For the penultimate article in our Education and Training for You series, we outline the key role our academic community plays in developing content for our Learning Hub and how you can get involved.

Our Education Academy draws together expertise across King’s Health Partners to develop and deliver innovative education and training opportunities for our students, staff and healthcare professionals. Our Clinical Academic Group (CAG) education and training leads, alongside experts in their fields, facilitate a broad and unique spectrum of training and education that supports the very best patient care and treatment.

One example is our e-learning platform – the Learning Hub - a free online learning resource available to members of the King’s Health Partners community and beyond.

We are continually adding courses, resources and activities to the Learning Hub for the benefit of our growing online community and have recently passed 10,000 registered users. We are now seeking contributions for new resources from our King’s Health Partners academic community who are essential in devising materials to host on our e-learning platform.

Please share ideas for our Learning Hub

If you have an idea for a course or resource in your area of expertise that you believe would benefit our community, please let us know. With more than 70,000 people within our King’s Health Partners community – students and staff from Guy’s and St Thomas’, King’s College Hospital and South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trusts and King’s College London – and even more worldwide within our wider networks – we’re certain your area of expertise will benefit our audiences.

The benefits of hosting materials on our Learning Hub

It’s hosted completely online and can be viewed via any device. All our audience need to do is register for the Learning Hub and login with their organisation’s email address to access the materials for free using their internet browser.

Colleagues across King’s Health Partners will be able to access your materials – there won’t be any accessibility issues that often occur when materials are hosted on intranets.

Our Education Academy will support you to design and develop the look and feel of your materials and advise on different ways to host it on our Learning Hub.

More than 70,000 colleagues across our partnership and beyond will have the option to view your materials for free – opening up opportunities to collaborate with colleagues who work in a different organisation within King’s Health Partners.

Our central King’s Health Partners Education Academy team will be here to support you every step of the way in developing your idea into accessible materials.

First, we will meet with you via Microsoft Teams to scope the idea and explore how it might feature on the Learning Hub.

Following that, we would plan how best to host the materials, and build the relevant learning resource. The design elements behind hosting your idea will be led by our talented learning technologists. All they will need from you to get the conversation started is the seed of your subject specific idea and what learning objectives you are aiming to meet.
