King’s Health Partners (KHP) is delighted to announce the launch of our new-look Learning Hub, a central resource to drive innovation and excellence in education, training, and development.

Rooted in the principles of the KHP Education Academy Strategy, the Learning Hub will:

  • enhance integrated learning opportunities across clinical, research, and academic environments;
  • promote lifelong learning, supporting professionals at every stage of their career; and
  • foster collaboration, innovation, and knowledge exchange across disciplines.

Dr Claire Mallinson, Director of Education and Training at KHP, says:

The new-look Learning Hub is a fantastic and easy-to-use educational resource, full of modules designed to elevate the skills of students and the modern healthcare professional.

As an example we have extensive data science courses, including introductions to using Artificial Intelligence in medical research and the object-orientated programming language Python.

Delivering better health outcomes

The Learning Hub is designed to support KHP’s mission to deliver better health outcomes through world-class education, ensuring we empower our workforce to meet the evolving needs of healthcare.

Together, we are building a stronger future for health education and care.

The new-look Hub is easy to use, and partnership staff and students can register via their relevant Trust/university log-in to access a variety of free courses.

Andre Crawford, KHP Learning Technologist, says:

The initial feedback we’ve had is that it’s a much better user experience than the previous Learning Hub, and indeed many other online education platforms. Users are reporting that it’s a more straightforward process to purchase, enrol, and interact with the course resources.

Course testimonials

Remi, an anaesthetic trainee, said:

The KHP Learning Hub provided me with structured training programmes covering essential digital skills like data science and artificial intelligence. It has enhanced my digital literacy, enabling me to use digital tools effectively to improve patient care and operational efficiency.

The hub offers a comprehensive range of digital concepts supporting healthcare workers in developing the necessary skills to thrive in digital healthcare.

A learner who completed the Introduction to Python for Health Research course said:

After not using Python and other coding languages for a long time, this has been a good refresher. It’s a well-rounded module that has helped me get back to understanding code and re-establishing the basics. By incorporating AI, I’ve been able to write code more effectively while also understanding what’s being written and identifying any issues.
