Prof Mark Edwards, Dr Siobhan Gee, and Dr Mike Dilley will provide academic and clinical leadership to the KHP Mind & Body programme.
They will take up their roles in September 2023 and begin building on the success of the past 10 years of delivery.
Prof Mark Edwards, Professor of Neurology and Interface Disorders at the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology and Neuroscience (IoPPN) at King’s College London, has been appointed Academic Director. Prof Mark Edwards also works clinically at South London and Maudsley and King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trusts (NHS FTs).
Prof Mark Edwards said:
I am absolutely thrilled to have the opportunity to work with Mike, Siobhan, and the whole KHP Mind Body team to help make an integrated mind body approach to healthcare a reality. We already know from patients, health professionals, and published research how important mind- body integration is in healthcare outcomes; now we need to understand how to make it a reality for people within our clinical services and to spread that learning nationwide.
The role of Clinical Director will be jointly held by Dr Siobhan Gee, Consultant Pharmacist, Interim Deputy Director of Pharmacy at South London and Maudsley NHS FT, and Honorary Senior Lecturer, Faculty of Life Sciences and Medicine, King's College London, and Dr Mike Dilley, Consultant Neuropsychiatrist in Brain Injury at King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.
Dr Siobhan Gee said:
It is an honour to be appointed Co-Clinical Director of the Mind & Body Programme at King’s Health Partners. I am absolutely delighted to join the Mind & Body Programme with my colleagues, Mark, and Siobhan. Focusing on the delivery of integrated physical and mental health and social care across KHP and beyond could not happen at a better moment than now as our local systems transform and ICSes develop. Our work on developing Quality Networks will be instrumental in supporting integrated care and I am excited to drive this forward.

KHP Mind & Body Programme
Together, the new leadership team will work with the programme team to refresh and refocus the programme’s strategic approach and long term goals. Initial priorities are to grow the Mind & Body Improvement Network to deliver national and international impact; create a new research collaborative to lead the way in the integration of mental and physical healthcare; and continue to build on and further develop partnerships across KHP and south east London.
